Real Estate Important Details
To schedule an appointment:
– Call, text, or email to schedule a day for your property shoot. All properties are scheduled Monday-Friday.
– We'll give an estimated time range for arrival on the afternoon before the photo shoot (ie, “Between 10:00 and 11:00”). All properties are photographed between the hours of 8:30 and 4:00. The home must be ready when the photographer arrives.
– We deliver your photos by email, usually the next business day.
- Payment: Most agents prefer to pay by credit card, but we can accept a check if you prefer. Credit card payments appear on your statement as Photo And Print Services, LLC.
Important notes about scheduling and times:
Scheduling day and time -
While I can almost always accommodate a request to photograph your listing on a specific day, I am not able to schedule a specific time.
Due to the number of properties photographed each day all shoots are scheduled in the most efficient driving order. Until all changes, additions, and reschedules of the day's properties are received on the afternoon before the shoot I cannot put them in order or estimate an arrival time.
The afternoon before your photo shoot I will text or email with an approximate time range (ie: arrival between 10:00 and 11:00).
I cannot take requests for morning or afternoon times. The order of each day's shoots is entirely based on the most efficient driving driving order. I start shooting around 8:30/9:00 in the morning and photograph each property one after the next, without any gaps in the schedule.
Requests for morning or afternoon times -
Supra key -
I have a Supra key for your convenience. There is no need for the agent or homeowner to be present. For the majority of homes I let myself in with my Supra key. If your homeowner is uncomfortable with this, please remind them that use of a supra key logs WHO entered their home and WHEN. This is just like another agent previewing or showing the home.
It is not a problem for the homeowner to be present, but I cannot give an approximate time until the afternoon before the shoot. All times are approximate and subject to change throughout the day, so the homeowner will need to plan to be at the property for the day if it is important for them to be there.
Preparation and home readiness:
The home must be clean and ready for photography at the time of arrival. The photographer is not allowed to move any items or do any spot cleaning. All pets must be contained or moved to an area where they will not interfere with photography. MARIS does not allow people or pets to be in the photos.
If on-the-spot cleaning, moving, or other non-photographer induced delays extend the appointment time longer than one hour, an additional charge of $75/hour applies.
How long does it take to photograph a listing?
Most property shoots last between 30 and 60 minutes. Larger homes typically take longer than smaller homes.
How many photos do you get?
Each home is unique, but on average between roughly 40 photos for a small home to 60 photos for a larger home are delivered. Typically that's a couple angles of each room. The kitchen and main living areas tend to get a few more. For exterior you can expect a couple angles of the front and a couple of the back.
Cancellation
Be sure to call or text 636-345-1948 at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel the appointment. A $75 destination fee applies for any appointments canceled the day of the shoot or if the photographer makes the trip to the property but is not able to photograph it for any reason.
Included/Excluded Photos
Typically a shoot includes the front and back exterior and the major living areas of the home. Interior areas include the kitchen, living room/great room, dining room, bedrooms, master bath, and family areas of a finished lower level. Unfinished areas, small closets, garages, and various small details are generally not photographed. We do not photograph electrical boxes, furnaces, or other utility items.
Photo Rights, Usage and Delivery
Photos are delivered via email, typically the next business day.
Photos are delivered in .jpg format sized to approximately 2000 pixels on the longest side. This is the recommended size for Maris yet large enough to print the photos in brochures, postcards, and other marketing print materials. Higher resolution files are available for an additional charge.
Usage rights are licensed to the homeowner or real estate agent for unlimited use in web, broadcast or print marketing during the sale of the home. This license may not be transferred. Ownership of photos is retained by Patrick Pope Photography and may be used for marketing and portfolio purposes.
